The ideal itinerary for exploring Kenya's most beautiful wilderness paradises. The opportunity to observe the famous Big Five and many other endemic species.

The trip begins with 2 nights in Amboseli National Park and Conservancies, world-famous for its many elephants, including some of the largest "Tuskers" in the world, and of course Africa's highest peak: Mount Kilimanjaro.

Although elephants are the main attraction, Amboseli has much more to offer: lions, cheetahs and numerous bird species, including flamingos, are often seen here.

We return to Nairobi for the night before heading off to the Laikipia region the following day.

Our safaris take us into the Solio Reserve, a sanctuary for black and white rhinos. The photographic opportunities here are exceptional, thanks in particular to a superb forest of yellow-barked acacia trees along a stream: a truly unique atmosphere.

The next stage of our stay continues a little further north, heading for the Samburu National Reserve for 3 nights. This region is my favorite place in Kenya, as much for its landscapes as for the species that live there. In addition to the leopards that are regularly seen here, Samburu is home to 5 endemic species: the reticulated giraffe, the Grevy's zebra, the gerenuk, the oryx beisa and the vulturine guinea fowl.

We then head south out of Samburu along the Rift Valley before arriving in the Soysambu Conservancy. Several activities are possible in this region: mountain bike, walking or 4x4 safari in the Conservancy, 4x4 safari in Nakuru Park, famous for its rhinos, etc.

Last destination of this week's safari: the mythical Masai Mara for 3 nights in a private Conservancy. One of the best places to observe Africa's great predators and the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra between July and October. You'll have the chance to explore the savannah plains of the Masai Mara in a 4x4 vehicle with ground-level views, or hike close to nature.
