India is a fascinating destination: rich biodiversity, sublime landscapes and extraordinary culture, combined with palaces unique in the world.

Why visit India?
A timeless destination offering unprecedented experiences. The most unique of all is the quest to find and photograph the ghost of the Himalayas, the snow leopard. In the rocky hills of Jawai in Rajasthan, Indian leopards thrive and cohabit with local communities, offering unrivalled daytime sightings among the impressive granite rocks. Finally, the dense forests of Bandhavgarh, Satpura and Kanha are home to the majestic Bengal tiger, the undisputed king of the Indian jungle. Together, these habitats are home to a multitude of mammal and bird species endemic to the country.

When to visit India
The best time to travel across this vast country, both in the north and the south, is from November to March. In December and January, temperatures can still be quite cold in the north, but from April onwards the intense heat sets in, followed by the monsoon season.
If your goal is to observe tigers, the ideal period is generally between November and May. During these months, the weather is dry and, as the season progresses, the forests gradually thin out, making it easier to spot tigers moving through the undergrowth.
For the snow leopard, the best season runs from January to March, during the peak of winter in the Himalayas. The mating season extends into February, which can further increase your chances of sightings.
